The Brix you have were circa 1996, and have similar specifications to today’s Brix, although the drivers are different. What you have there is a 4” 2-way using a polypropylene bass/mid driver and (probably) a 25mm textile dome high-frequency driver (if it has three securing screws). There is a difference in sound to the Brix that are produced today but a frequency plot will only show that there is slightly more bass from the newer version. Other changes in performance can’t be measured by a frequency plot as drivers have certain characteristics. Specifications of the current Brix are:

Frequency range: 75 Hz – 20 kHz

Power Handling: 60 Watts RMS

Sensitivity: 88 Db for 2.83 volts @ 1 Meter

Impedance: 6 Ohms

Cabinet construction: 16mm MDF with real timber veneer

Volume: 3 Litres
